Juvelook Volume Korea: How It Differs From Rejuran and Other Boosters
Juvelook, Sculptra, Rejuran and collagen boosters all promise collagen, in different ways. Dr. Hyo Seop Ryu explains which suits volume and which suits thin skin.
What does Juvelook volume Korea treatment actually do?
Hello, I'm Dr. Hyo Seop Ryu, a board-certified dermatologist (M.D., Ph.D.) and Chief Director at WELLS Clinic in Apgujeong, Seoul. I was previously an assistant professor at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. This article is based on my YouTube video from November 2025 above, a Q&A on skin boosters; translated captions are available on YouTube.
If you are searching for Juvelook volume Korea options, the key point is this: Juvelook and Sculptra are synthetic materials that make your own skin build collagen as they break down, so volume comes back gradually. That is different from Rejuran, which supports skin quality, and from collagen boosters, which put collagen in directly.
At WELLS, Juvelook (PLA plus hyaluronic acid, KFDA-approved) is used to fill depressed acne scars while stimulating collagen. For facial volume and contour, we use Sculptra. Below I explain how the four kinds of product differ and where each one fits.
How do Juvelook, Sculptra, Rejuran and collagen boosters differ?
- Rejuran: a polynucleotide from salmon that indirectly prompts fibroblasts and stem cells to make collagen.
- Sculptra and Juvelook: synthetic materials placed under the skin; as they break down, they stimulate cells to make collagen.
- Collagen boosters: newer products that inject collagen itself, for example collagen taken from human tissue matrix and ground into a fine powder, or a gel-type collagen.
A collagen booster sits somewhere between filler and Rejuran. It fills some volume directly while also encouraging the skin's own renewal, which can help pores, hydration and fine lines.
Where does each one suit best?
Sculptra and Juvelook suit areas where you want volume and elasticity to improve gradually, such as the cheeks and folds. At WELLS, Sculptra Lifting places Sculptra at the temples and upper face to support the contour from above, at ₩1,320,000 per session (VAT excluded).
Directly under the eyes is different. The skin is thin, and if a stimulator forms a nodule there, it may need surgery to remove. Nodules can be made less likely, but the chance is not zero. Collagen boosters are easier to use in such areas, and gel-type products can be placed finely and superficially for neck lines and crow's feet.
Filler is the most direct way to fill the upper eyelid, but it often looks clumped there. I go through the under-eye options in more detail in Juvelook under eye Seoul.
Sculptra Lifting
- What it is
- Sculptra placed at the temples and upper face to support the contour from above, while it builds collagen over the following months.
- How it works
- The dermatologist maps the face's support structure and lifting vectors, then injects at the temples and upper face to hold tissue up. Sculptra stimulates your own collagen, so the result develops gradually.
- Sessions
- The listed price is for one session; the dermatologist tells you at consultation whether one is enough.
- Recovery
- Confirmed at consultation. The result builds over months rather than all at once.
- Price
- 1 session ₩1,320,000 (VAT excluded)
Why patients fly in for it
- Dr. Choi, Dr. Lee and Dr. Ryu completed Handok's Sculptra hands-on training program.
- WELLS guarantees every Sculptra vial is genuine.
- A board-certified dermatologist plans and injects in person.

Message on WhatsAppHow long do boosters and collagen injections last?
Rejuran works best as a regular course, the way you might take a tonic; at WELLS a course of four sessions at 2–3 week intervals is recommended. A collagen booster is reported to last about six months after one session, longer than Rejuran.
Even injected collagen does not stay more than about a year, because the body keeps making and absorbing collagen. That is why I plan collagen care as maintenance rather than a one-off.
Can Juvelook volume Korea plans be combined with Thermage?
Pairing injected collagen with Thermage makes sense. Thermage uses heat to stimulate cells to make collagen, so combining it with an injection that adds volume can restore some fullness while boosting the collagen your skin produces itself.
- Genuine Sculptra only, injected by dermatologists trained in Handok's hands-on program.
- Genuine Thermage tips, with a ten-times refund if a tip is ever found not to be genuine.
- No deep sedation: Air NOX keeps you awake.
At WELLS, Thermage is offered as Thermage MAX, and the dermatologist plans the order and timing of any combination at consultation.
How do you choose the right collagen treatment before flying to Seoul?
Many people are wary of filler, and even with careful technique, stimulators carry some nodule risk. Tell us what you want to change, whether that is volume, texture, dark circles or fine lines on the neck. Send a photo and your travel dates on WhatsApp, and a dermatologist confirms the plan and price at the clinic.
For more on Juvelook itself, see Juvelook in Korea. Results vary, and the right plan for you is decided in consultation.
