How it works
Onda (DEKA, Italy) uses Coolwaves microwaves that pass through the skin surface with almost no energy loss and heat the dermis and the fat layer while the surface is cooled in real time. At WELLS the handpiece runs over our own Detology cream instead of jojoba oil, and you take a jar of the cream home for aftercare.

Detology cream instead of jojoba oil
Most clinics run the Onda handpiece over jojoba oil, which only helps it slide. WELLS applies its own Detology cream — collagen peptide plus CeraXosome — so the microwave energy reaches the dermis with less loss and the skin barrier is protected while it heats.

3 mm and 7 mm handpieces, planned for your face
The 3 mm handpiece works in the dermis to rebuild collagen and firmness; the 7 mm handpiece reaches the fat layer under the jawline and chin. The dermatologist decides where each one goes so that the cheeks keep their volume and only the sagging areas are tightened.

Because the surface is cooled in real time, most patients are treated without numbing cream. Mild redness usually settles within a few hours. You leave with a jar of Detology cream (retail ₩70,000) for the weeks after.

How long it lasts, and how to keep it
A single session gives an immediately visible tightening. For collagen remodelling that holds, our dermatologists recommend about three sessions four to six weeks apart: the first starts collagen and fat-cell contraction, the second brings the contour change, the third locks it in — a foundation for roughly six months, up to a year. How much energy actually reaches the target, and whether aftercare is done, decide the rest.
Detology cream contains collagen peptide and CeraXosome: it raises conductivity so the microwave energy travels deeper, protects the skin barrier during treatment and supports collagen synthesis afterwards.
Questions about this treatment
Does Onda MAX hurt? Do I need anesthesia?
Onda cools the skin surface while it heats the layers underneath, so most patients complete the session without numbing cream. Pain tolerance differs, and the dermatologist adjusts the energy to you.
What do 60, 80 and 100 kJ mean?
The total microwave energy delivered in the session. More energy covers a larger area or more passes; the dermatologist chooses the level for your jawline, chin and neck at consultation. Every level includes the Detology cream to take home.
Will my cheeks look hollow afterwards?
Avoiding that is the point of Onda MAX. The 7 mm handpiece is kept to the areas with excess fat, and the dermatologist limits it on thin cheeks. If you have already lost cheek volume, they may suggest a different plan.
