Korean PDRN Skin Booster: How Many cc, Hand Injection and Those Bumps
Dr. Won Sin Lee explains how to get more out of a salmon-DNA booster: how many cc your face needs, why the bumps matter and what to add.
How do you get more from a Korean PDRN skin booster?
Hello, I'm Dr. Won Sin Lee, a board-certified dermatologist and Chief Director at WELLS Clinic in Apgujeong, Seoul. I completed my dermatology residency at Asan Medical Center, where I am now an adjunct professor. This article is based on my YouTube video from December 2025 above; translated captions are available on YouTube.
Many people search for Korean PDRN when they mean a salmon-DNA skin booster, and the one I inject most is Rejuran. My short answer: the result depends on three things, which are where the product goes, how much you use and what you combine it with. Rejuran combines a regenerating ingredient, polynucleotide (PN), with hyaluronic acid for moisture, and today it is one of the most commonly performed skin boosters in Korea.
For both of those to work, the product has to land in the dermis, the layer under the surface. Below I explain how that is done, how many cc each area needs, and what I add when patients want a faster, longer-lasting change.
Why does hand injection matter, and what do the bumps mean?
To place the product precisely in the dermis, careful hand injection, one point at a time, works better than a machine. When it is done well, you see small raised bumps across the treated skin. We call them embossing, and they are the sign that the product is sitting at the right depth.
Patients sometimes misread how long these bumps last. On average they stay about two days. Some people lose them in a day, and some keep them for three to five days, but in most people they are gone within two to three days.
So if yours fade quickly, it does not mean the treatment failed, and if they last longer, that is not a problem either. It is individual variation.
How many cc of Rejuran does your face need?
Too little product spread across the whole face weakens the effect. As a baseline, I recommend at least 2 cc for both cheeks.
- Full face, including the forehead: at least about 4 cc
- Front of the cheeks, including the eye area: about 2 cc is enough
- Extending a little beyond the cheeks and eyes: at least 3 cc
At WELLS we use Rejuran HB+, which adds lidocaine for comfort. The dermatologist confirms the dose for your face at consultation, and a course of four sessions at 2–3 week intervals is recommended.
Rejuran HB+ Skin Booster
- What it is
- A salmon-derived polynucleotide (PN) skin booster with hyaluronic acid and lidocaine, for elasticity, fine lines, texture and hydration.
- How it works
- Polynucleotide improves the skin's internal environment and structure, and the added hyaluronic acid boosts hydration. Lidocaine in the formula cut post-injection pain by an average of 53% on the VAS scale compared with Rejuran Healer.
- Sessions
- Four sessions at 2–3 week intervals are recommended.
- Recovery
- Small bumps usually settle within two to three days. Tell us your flight dates and the dermatologist will advise on timing.
- Price
- Standalone price confirmed at consultation. With 3 mL of Rejuran HB+ in Rejuran Tox: from ₩913,000 (VAT excluded).
Why patients fly in for it
- A board-certified dermatologist injects by hand, point by point.
- The dose is matched to the area you want treated.
- Rejuran Tox combines 3 mL of Rejuran HB+ with a skin smoothing injection in one visit.

Message on WhatsAppCan Korean PDRN be combined with a skin smoothing injection?
Yes, and this is where I see the biggest difference. Rejuran on its own gives an immediate boost in hydration and, over time, healthier skin. Adding a skin smoothing injection, a wrinkle-relaxing product diluted and used differently from the dose given for frown lines or the jaw, gives a faster and longer-lasting result.
- Skin looks tighter straight away
- Pores look noticeably smaller
- Hydration improves at once
- Rejuran's own effect lasts a little longer
The skin smoothing injection alone tightens and shrinks pores, but it cannot give the hydration and regeneration that Rejuran does. That is why WELLS offers Rejuran Tox: 3 mL of Rejuran HB+ plus a microdroplet skin smoothing injection in one visit, from ₩913,000 (VAT excluded), or ₩1,089,000 with the US-made option.
How do you plan a Rejuran visit to Seoul?
Because the bumps usually settle in two to three days, a booster fits easily into a short trip. Send your travel dates and the areas you want treated on WhatsApp, and we reply in English with options; the dermatologist confirms the dose and price at the clinic.
For more on timing a short stay, see PDRN injection in Korea on a short trip. Dr. Ryu's article on PDRN skin booster in Korea covers who benefits from the combination by age and when wrinkles need more than a booster. Results vary from person to person.

How much Korean PDRN booster do I need for a full face?
Dr. Lee recommends at least about 4 cc of Rejuran for a full face including the forehead, about 2 cc for the front of the cheeks with the eye area, and at least 3 cc if you want to extend beyond that.
How long do Rejuran bumps last?
About two days on average. Some people lose them in a day and some keep them for three to five days, but most see them fade within two to three days. Neither is a sign of a problem.
Is a machine injection as good as hand injection?
For placing the product precisely in the dermis, careful hand injection point by point works better. Visible bumps show it is at the right depth.
How much does Rejuran Tox cost at WELLS?
₩913,000 (VAT excluded) with the Korean-made option or ₩1,089,000 (VAT excluded) with the US-made option, for 3 mL of Rejuran HB+ plus a skin smoothing injection. A standalone Rejuran HB+ price is confirmed at consultation.
