You have one mole you've wanted gone for years, or a handful on the face, and a trip to Seoul coming up. The first thing you search is mole removal cost — and most of what comes back is either a single number with no context or a clinic that won't answer at all.
Here is the straight answer for WELLS. On our mole removal page, the price reads: price for this treatment is confirmed at your consultation. We don't publish a flat per-mole figure, and I would rather explain why than hide behind it.

Why the price is confirmed at consultation
Two moles that look the same size in a photo can be completely different jobs. One sits in the upper layer of the skin and comes off cleanly; another has a root that runs into the deeper layers and needs more than one visit. A flat price would be wrong for one of them.
There is also a question that comes before cost: should this mole be removed with a laser at all? Most moles people ask about are harmless, but a dermatologist has to look first. Generally, a spot that looks unusual is not something to vaporise without a proper assessment — and if I think that is the case, I will say so before any price is discussed.

What changes your mole removal cost
When you ask what your mole removal cost will be, four things decide the answer. None of them can be judged reliably from a description alone, which is why a photo helps and an examination settles it.

Depth is the one people underestimate
Some moles extend into deeper layers of the skin and are not removed in one session. Forcing a deep mole out at once can scar, so at WELLS we treat those in several sessions, two to three months apart — the approach our site describes as the safest.
In practice, that means a deep mole is quoted as a plan rather than a single visit. If you are travelling, it also means timing: a staged mole may need a return visit months later, and it is better to know that before you book flights.
Why method follows diagnosis
Skin lesions sit at different depths, and treatment has to match that depth. For benign bumps in general, the aim is to remove the structure itself without damaging the skin around it — going too shallow leaves it behind, going too deep risks a scar. The same logic is why I won't choose a method before I've seen the mole.

Most people searching for a price have a mole they simply don't like the look of. But some of the questions that arrive with those photos — an itchy mole, a red mole, a crusty mole — are really questions for a mole check, not a quote.
As a general rule, have a dermatologist look at any mole that shows one of the following. None of these means something is wrong, but each is a reason to be seen in person rather than to book removal from a photo.
- A new mole that appears in adulthood, or one that is clearly growing.
- A change in shape, border or colour, including a mole that turns darker or develops a red rim.
- A mole that bleeds, crusts or doesn't heal.
- An itchy mole that stays itchy, or one that has become tender.
- A raised mole that used to be flat, or a spot that looks different from all your others.
A changing or bleeding mole should be seen by a dermatologist, wherever you are — don't wait for a trip to Seoul if something is changing now. A photo on WhatsApp can't replace an examination, and I won't pretend it can.
Spots people call red moles are also worth a word. Small bright-red dots are often not moles at all but tiny clusters of blood vessels, and the approach to them differs. Raised mole, flat mole, or not a mole at all
A surprising number of the “moles” people want removed turn out to be something else. On the face, flat warts, milia, sebaceous hyperplasia and syringoma can all be mistaken for small moles or bumps in the mirror, and each sits at a different depth in the skin.
This matters for cost as much as for results. Flat warts are viral and can spread; they are often two to three times more numerous than you can see, so a dermatologist looks for the smallest ones too.
