Do Dr Korea PDRN Reviews Help? Cost, Methods and Recovery of a Seoul Injection

Most Dr Korea PDRN reviews rate creams, not injections, and they rarely say who held the needle. Before booking in Seoul, ask for the product name, the injector's specialty and the plan for after you fly home.

What PDRN cream reviews can and can't measure

Are Dr Korea PDRN reviews enough to decide whether to let a Seoul clinic inject your face?

Read on before you book anything, because most of those reviews are about creams, not injections.

After this post you will know what cream reviews can and can't tell you, how injection methods differ, what recovery and side effects to expect, and what decides the cost. That should help you choose a clinic with the right questions.

Hello, I'm Dr. Won Woo Choi, Medical Director · M.D., Ph.D. at WELLS Clinic.

WELLS has been in Apgujeong, Gangnam, since 2008. A dermatologist handles both your consultation and your treatment, and the skin is analysed in 3D before a procedure. For an injection, who holds the needle matters more than any rating.

People often assume that a cream that reviews well says something about the injection with a similar name. It doesn't.

The short answer: Dr Korea PDRN reviews are useful for texture and scent, but not for choosing an injection or a clinic. For that, ask about the product, the injector's specialty and the aftercare.

Send a clear photo and your travel dates, and we will tell you what fits the time you have in Seoul.

Reviews are good at what a reviewer can feel: whether a cream pills under sunscreen, whether it stings, whether it brought on a breakout. They are weak on what takes an exam. Is the dryness from a worn-down barrier, from eczema, or from rosacea? Did anything in the jar reach the layer where collagen is made?

That second question is chemistry. A 2000 paper in Experimental Dermatology described what's now called the 500 dalton rule: compounds heavier than about 500 daltons pass through intact skin poorly. DNA fragments such as PDRN are far heavier than that. A PDRN cream can still soften the surface and feel pleasant, so read "a skin booster in a jar" as a description of comfort and glow, not of what an injection places in the dermis.

Each review also describes one person's skin. If your cheeks are red and tight rather than only dry, the cause and the treatment may be different. When flushing and visible small vessels are the main problem, vascular lasers for rosacea and broken capillaries usually address it more directly than a booster.

Is a PDRN injection the same thing as the cream?

No, and the names add to the confusion. PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide) and PN (polynucleotide) are both made from salmon DNA. A 2025 review in Pharmaceutics compares the two, and the basic difference is chain length: PDRN is made of shorter fragments, PN of longer chains. Many people call both "PDRN injections," so ask for the product name rather than the ingredient.

Rejuran HB+ is a PN product. The hyaluronic acid is there for hydration, and the lidocaine is in the formula to ease the sting after injection. For a full course I recommend four sessions, two to three weeks apart. If pores and fine lines bother you as much as dryness, Rejuran Tox combines Rejuran HB+ with skin botulinum toxin in one sitting.

If dryness is your main complaint, how we choose a PDRN booster for dry skin goes further into product choice.

Who is holding the needle, and how would you know?

In short, this is the question I'd most like you to ask, because reviews often skip it. "The doctor was kind" doesn't tell you whether the injector was a dermatologist, a doctor from another field, or another member of staff. Ask for the injector's name, then check it yourself on the clinic's doctor page: specialty, board certification, and where the residency was done.

You can do the same with us.

One more check is worth doing before a new booster. If an earlier injection, wherever it was done, has left lumps or marks, have a dermatologist look at them first. Adding a new product on top makes it harder to tell what is causing what.

Questions to ask a Seoul clinic before you book

  • Which product, exactly, and is it PN or PDRN?
  • Who will inject me, and what is their specialty?
  • How many sessions does my skin need, and how far apart?
  • What should I avoid afterward, such as sauna, hard exercise or makeup, and for how long?
  • If only one session fits this trip, what does one session do?
  • Who do I contact if something looks wrong after I fly home?

The same habit works for lifting. Our guide to choosing an Ultherapy clinic in Korea applies it to devices, tips and shot counts.

Say you are visiting Seoul for five days and have read cream reviews that praise PDRN for dull, tired skin. You ask me whether an injection would do the same. I would first look at your skin, because fine texture, dryness and post-acne marks call for different approaches, and a cream review can't tell us which applies to you. Then I would explain what a polynucleotide booster is, what the session involves, and what redness or swelling you might see in the first days.

I would also ask about fish allergy, past lidocaine reactions and any earlier boosters or fillers. Only after that would we talk about how many sessions make sense and whether your trip dates allow them.

What can go wrong after a polynucleotide injection?

Risks and side effects to know

The usual reactions are small raised bumps at each injection point, which for many people flatten within about a day, plus redness and tenderness. Pinpoint bruises can appear and may take several days to fade, which matters if you have photos or meetings soon after. The lidocaine reduces the sting but doesn't remove it.

As a general rule, wait or skip it if there's an acne flare, a cold sore or any infection where you'd be injected. The same goes if you've had a laser treatment or chemical peel in the past couple of weeks, if you take isotretinoin now or took it recently, if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you're allergic to fish- or salmon-derived ingredients or to lidocaine.

The US CDC's medical tourism guidance advises travelers to bring copies of their treatment records home and to plan follow-up care before the trip. That applies to a small injection too.

How your skin responds varies from person to person, and whether the treatment suits you is decided at the in-person exam.

Tell us your flight dates on WhatsApp and the dermatologist will advise on timing. If you've had a laser, a peel or another injection in the last month, put its date in the same message.

Send a clear photo and your travel dates, and we will tell you what fits the time you have in Seoul.

What decides the cost of a PDRN or polynucleotide injection?

The cost depends on the product, since a PDRN product and a polynucleotide booster such as Rejuran HB+ are not the same formula. It also depends on the area treated, whether that is the whole face, the under-eye or the neck, and on how many sessions your skin needs. The method matters too, because the technique and the depth of the injection change the time a session takes.

If you are travelling, the number of days you can stay in Seoul affects how sessions can be spaced, and whether a follow-up visit fits your trip. To get the figure for your case, send a daylight photo of the area on WhatsApp and ask about the cost there.

Fitting injections into a Seoul trip

A four-session course spaced two to three weeks apart doesn't fit into one week. If you can, I'd place the injection early in your stay rather than on your last day, so any bruise has a few days to fade while you're still near the clinic.

We're on the 8th floor at 842 Nonhyeon-ro, about five minutes on foot from Apgujeong Station exit 3 on Line 3. Hours are 10:00 to 20:00 on weekdays and 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays, with lunch from 13:00 to 14:00. Sundays and public holidays are closed, so if you land on a Saturday evening, Monday is your first possible day.

If you're also thinking about lifting on the same visit, planning an Ultherapy trip to Seoul around your flights explains how that visit runs.

When you write on WhatsApp, send one daylight photo of the area that bothers you, without makeup, and ask the one question that has kept you from booking. One photo is enough, and you can ask before booking anything. Please also mention any fish allergy, any past reaction to lidocaine, and the name of any booster or filler you've had before, if you know it. When you come to the clinic, I examine your skin and recommend what fits it.

Questions people ask

Before you message us

Are Korean PDRN creams worth using alongside injections?

They can be a comfortable part of a routine, mainly as moisturizers for the skin surface. Check the label for salmon-derived ingredients if you have a fish allergy, patch-test first, and tell the dermatologist which cream you use before an injection.

Is Rejuran HB+ a PN or a PDRN product?

Rejuran HB+ is a polynucleotide (PN): salmon-derived polynucleotide with hyaluronic acid and lidocaine added. Many people still call it a PDRN injection, which is why asking for the product name is more useful than asking for the ingredient.

Does a Rejuran HB+ injection hurt?

You'll feel the injections. Lidocaine in the formula cut post-injection pain by an average of 53% on the VAS scale compared with Rejuran Healer. Pain tolerance still differs from person to person.

How many Rejuran HB+ sessions are recommended?

Four sessions at two- to three-week intervals are recommended for a full course. If your trip allows only one, ask what a single session can do for your skin before you book it.

What should I look for if I read Dr Korea PDRN reviews anyway?

Look for reported reactions such as breakouts or itching, notes from people with fish allergies, and how recent the review is. Treat ratings as information about how a product feels, not as a prediction of what an injection would do for you.

Results and recovery vary by individual. Every treatment carries possible side effects, which are explained at the consultation. Prices are in Korean won, excluding 10% VAT, and confirmed at your consultation. This article is general information from the clinic, not a diagnosis.
