How much is Ultherapy in Korea at WELLS?

If you are looking up the Ultherapy price in Seoul, you have probably seen figures that don't line up. One clinic quotes by shots, another by lines, a third leaves out VAT. You want one honest number, and to know it is the number you will actually pay.

I am Dr. Hyo Seop Ryu, one of the chief directors at WELLS in Apgujeong. I am a board-certified dermatologist, and before WELLS I was a clinical instructor and then an assistant professor of dermatology at Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. Here are the listed prices for Ultherapy Prime FIT, our own Ultherapy protocol. Prices are in Korean won and exclude 10% VAT.

So, how much is Ultherapy in Korea at our clinic? For a full face, the listed choice is between FIT 400 and FIT 500. The dermatologist confirms your plan and the final price at the consultation, before anything starts.

What changes the Ultherapy price: shots, lines and areas

Three things move the number: how many shots your face needs, whether we add the Fitting step, and which areas are treated. None of them should be picked from a menu before a dermatologist has looked at you.

300 or 400 shots

The only difference between FIT 400 and FIT 500 is the Ultherapy portion: 300 shots or 400 shots. The Fitting step stays at 100 kJ in both. Most of our patients are satisfied with their results with 300–400 shots; only about 2% of WELLS patients need 600 or more.

That matters for price, because shot count is where quotes quietly grow. Thickness and fat distribution differ between people, and even within one face the layer depth changes from area to area. More shots are not automatically better; the count should follow your anatomy.

Shots, lines and what a quote actually counts

Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound in rows of tiny points, and clinics describe the dose in different units. Our 3X program lists Eye Ultherapy as 50 treatment lines. When you compare quotes, ask what unit each one uses, and whether the figure includes VAT.

Eyes and the upper face

Eye Ultherapy uses a dedicated eye tip for laxity around the eyes. On our listed menu it sits inside 3X Upper Face Lifting, which pairs it with Eye Thermage and EMFACE for the brow, eyelids and forehead. If you want the eye area added to full-face Ultherapy, the order and price are set at consultation.

Why the Ultherapy price at WELLS includes a second step

Ultherapy Prime pulls from the SMAS layer, the same layer a surgical facelift tightens. Because the energy lands point by point, small gaps can remain between those points, and on its own it has limits with surface texture and fine lines.

The Fitting step in FIT uses a second device on the layer between Ultherapy and Thermage depth. In plain terms, Ultherapy sets the lines of the face and Fitting fills in the surface, so the skin sits closer to the jawline. It can also ease the swelling that sometimes follows Ultherapy.

That is why we price the two together rather than selling Ultherapy and then adding extras. You can read how we plan the device itself in our Ultherapy Prime explainer. The combination isn't needed by everyone; it depends on face shape, skin thickness and how much the skin has dropped.

Ultherapy vs Thermage: comparing two different prices

Many people weighing the Ultherapy price are also pricing Thermage. The two are not substitutes, so comparing the numbers alone can mislead you. Ultherapy works on the deep SMAS layer with focused ultrasound; Thermage uses RF to tighten the dermis, closer to the surface.

The honest Ultherapy vs Thermage answer depends on where your laxity is. A jawline that has genuinely dropped usually points toward ultrasound; skin that feels thinner and less firm points toward RF. Some faces need both, and then each treatment is priced on its own.

What is included in the Ultherapy price at WELLS?

Two quotes with the same shot count can describe very different treatments. Here is what comes with every Ultherapy session at WELLS, whichever option you choose.

• A consultation and treatment plan by a board-certified dermatologist, who also performs the treatment
• 3D imaging before treatment, and an individualized treatment map that sets energy and shot distribution for each area
• The Ultherapy Prime system for every session — WELLS is a Merz Ultherapy Golden Record Award clinic
• Genuine tips only, with a ten-times refund of the treatment price if a tip is ever found not to be genuine
• No deep sedation: local anesthetic with the option of Air NOX, so you stay awake

The Ultherapy machine matters here. Ultherapy Prime shows the skin layers on a larger, sharper display and lets us see down to 8mm, so bone, muscle and fat can be checked in real time. That is how we keep energy away from fat-poor areas where cheek hollowing is a risk.

Air NOX is a precisely mixed oxygen and nitrous oxide you breathe yourself. Its own price is confirmed at your consultation, so ask then whether you want it for your session.

Why a cheaper Ultherapy treatment can cost more

Side effects are possible with any energy device, which is why every treatment here starts with a dermatologist consultation. The one lifting patients fear most is cheek hollowing, which can happen when too much energy goes into areas with little fat.

We don't use deep sedation for Ultherapy, and Ultherapy's own guidelines don't recommend it. Under sedation you can't give feedback, energy tends to be pushed higher, which raises burn risk, and you can't check the tip or shot count yourself.

Whichever clinic you choose in Seoul or at home, these are the questions I would ask before paying for an Ultherapy treatment:

• Is it the Ultherapy Prime system, and can I see the genuine tip opened?
• Who decides my shot count, and is it a dermatologist who performs the treatment?
• Will I be awake enough to tell you when the heat is too much?
• Is the quote in shots or lines, and is VAT included?

Timing Ultherapy in Korea around your Seoul trip

Ultherapy fits a short trip more easily than most people expect. There is no incision and no deep sedation. With Air NOX you need no fasting, recover within about two minutes and can drive afterwards.

What a short trip can't give you is the whole result. The heat contracts the loosened SMAS for lift, and collagen regeneration continues during the healing that follows, so the skin tends to firm from within after you are home.
