Is Rejuran painful? What to expect before a painless Rejuran Seoul visit
If you are searching for painless Rejuran Seoul options, you have probably heard that Rejuran stings. That reputation is fair: a Rejuran injection is not one needle but many small ones across the face, each placed into the dermis.
I'm Dr. Won Sin Lee, one of the chief directors at WELLS in Apgujeong. I trained and was board-certified in dermatology at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, where I also serve as an adjunct professor, and I would rather give you the honest version than a promise.
No injection is completely free of sensation. What we can do is choose the more comfortable formula, numb properly, inject carefully by hand and fit the whole treatment into as few rounds as possible. That is what painless realistically means: comfortable enough that the needle is not what you remember about the day.
Rejuran HB vs Rejuran Healer: why HB+ is the comfortable choice
The biggest single factor is the product. Rejuran Healer is the original salmon-derived polynucleotide (PN) skin booster. Rejuran HB+ keeps the PN and adds hyaluronic acid for hydration plus lidocaine, a local anesthetic, mixed into the formula itself.
The difference is measurable. As our Rejuran HB+ skin booster page sets out, the lidocaine in HB+ cut post-injection pain by an average of 53% on the VAS pain scale compared with Rejuran Healer.
PN works on the skin's internal environment: elasticity, fine lines, texture and hydration, with the added hyaluronic acid strengthening the hydration side. I've covered the two formulas in more depth in our Rejuran Healer explainer, so I won't repeat it here.

How we keep a Rejuran injection comfortable at WELLS
Beyond the formula, comfort comes from what happens in the room. Anesthesia support is part of every Rejuran treatment, on top of the lidocaine already inside HB+.
- Hand injection, not an injector gun. I place Rejuran by hand; it takes longer, but the product goes precisely into the dermis.
- Depth and spacing matched to each area. Skin on the forehead, cheeks and around the eyes differs, so the injection depth and spacing change with it.
- Fewer vessel injuries. Careful manual technique reduces damage to small vessels, which keeps pain and bruising to a minimum.
- A dermatologist the whole way. Consultation, diagnosis and treatment are handled by a board-certified dermatologist, not handed off.
About sedation: WELLS avoids unnecessary sedation. Our non-sedation Air NOX system is used with local anesthetic for lifting devices such as Thermage, Ultherapy and Genius. For a Rejuran session, comfort comes from numbing, the lidocaine in HB+ and technique.
Rejuran Tox: one round of injections, two treatments
Many people plan Rejuran and skin botox on separate days. Because both go into the dermis, we combine them in a single session instead, so you sit through one round of injections rather than two. That combination is Rejuran Tox, one of the protocols developed at WELLS.
Rejuran HB+ (3 cc) works underneath on regeneration, hydration and elasticity. Skin botox is toxin diluted and placed shallowly in the skin to smooth fine lines and tighten pores; because it does not act on the deeper muscles, your expression stays your own.

Straight after the injections you will see small raised bumps where the product went in. We call them embo marks, and clear embo is a sign the product sits in the dermis, where it should.
They usually settle within two to three days, though depending on skin thickness and absorption they can go in a day or last about five. Fading quickly does not mean the product has gone, and bumps that last three days are within the normal range, not a side effect.

Planning a painless Rejuran Seoul visit around your trip
Most of the planning happens before you land. This is how a visit works when you are flying in.
- Message us on WhatsApp with your concern, a photo if you like, and your travel dates. We reply in English with options and appointment times.
- Consultation at the clinic, in English. A dermatologist examines your skin and confirms the plan and price before anything starts.
- Treatment in the same clinic, on the same visit.
- You leave with the dermatologist's aftercare instructions and can reach us on WhatsApp afterwards.
A full Rejuran HB+ course is four sessions, two to three weeks apart, because a skin booster works cumulatively. Tell us your dates and the dermatologist will advise how the course fits your trip, including how soon you can fly.

Comfort is worth asking about, but it is not the only question. A low price with an unverified product carries a real risk of side effects, and too small a dose spread over a whole face makes the glow and regeneration people come for hard to see.
- Which formula is it: Rejuran Healer or Rejuran HB+?
- Is the product opened in front of you, and is the full amount used? At WELLS the new product is opened in front of you, the full genuine amount is used, and you receive an authenticity card afterwards.
- How much is planned for your area? As a guide, I recommend at least 2 cc for the eye area and front cheeks, at least 3 cc if the forehead is included, and about 4 cc for a thorough full face.
- Who injects: a board-certified dermatologist, by hand?
