What 3 cc, PN and HB+ mean on a Rejuran injection Korea menu
A Rejuran injection in Korea is a salmon-derived polynucleotide (PN) skin booster. At WELLS the lines are Rejuran HB+ (PN, hyaluronic acid, lidocaine) and Rejuran Tox (HB+ plus skin smoothing injection).

What is actually inside a Rejuran injection?
A Rejuran injection in Korea is a polynucleotide (PN) skin booster: purified salmon DNA fragments placed in many small points in the dermis to work on texture, hydration and fine lines. It does not add volume or lift, and it is not a pigment treatment. The recommended Rejuran HB+ course is four sessions two to three weeks apart, so one Seoul trip usually covers a session rather than the whole course.

Send your travel dates on WhatsAppIf you have searched Rejuran injection Korea, the menus you found are probably full of numbers and suffixes. Both Rejuran Tox lines on our menu read "3 cc + 3 cc", for example: 3 cc of Rejuran HB+ alongside 3 cc of micro-dosed neuromodulator. Below, each of those terms is tied to the decision it changes for you.
Polynucleotide, abbreviated PN: chains of DNA fragments purified from salmon. They are not living cells, and they do not carry genetic instructions into your skin. The working idea is that these fragments support the skin's own repair environment in the dermis, and because the chains are long, the gel has some body.
You will also see PDRN on Korean skincare boxes and on some clinic menus. PDRN refers to shorter, more fragmented DNA pieces from a similar source. A 2025 review in Pharmaceutics comparing the two (MDPI, via PubMed Central) describes them as related molecules with different sizes and partly different uses, so a PDRN cream and a PN injection are not the same thing.
The salmon origin has a practical side. If you have a known fish allergy, or have reacted to a PN product before, mention it first; the dermatologist then weighs whether a polynucleotide is reasonable for you at all.
"Skin booster" is the Korean umbrella term for injectables that work on skin quality rather than shape. Fillers change contours. A skin booster is aimed at the surface you see in the mirror up close.
HB+, Healer and Tox are three different menu lines
Rejuran comes in several versions, and the suffix tells you which one you are reading about. We list two on our menu, Rejuran HB+ and Rejuran Tox. Rejuran Healer is the product our treatment page uses as the pain comparison for HB+.
| Name you'll see | What it is | Why the difference matters |
|---|---|---|
| Rejuran Healer | The product HB+ is compared against for pain | Not on our menu |
| Rejuran HB+ | PN with hyaluronic acid and lidocaine | Added hydration; a local anesthetic is in the formula |
| Rejuran Tox | Rejuran HB+ 3 cc and micro-dosed neuromodulator 3 cc, in one session | Adds a surface effect on pores, oil and fine lines |
Rejuran HB+ is polynucleotide with hyaluronic acid and lidocaine.
Rejuran Tox is our own combination. HB+ works underneath on repair, hydration and elasticity, while a very small dose of neuromodulator spread through the upper skin softens fine lines, refines the look of pores and calms oiliness. You choose the neuromodulator, one made in Korea or one made by a US manufacturer. Both are genuine products, and I set the dose.
You may also see Rejuran Eye, Rejuran S and Rejuran i online. We list only HB+ and Tox, so I can't speak to those from our menu. If you have read about one of them, tell me the concern behind it and I will tell you which of our two fits.
How does a dermatologist decide between HB+ and Tox?
What you see in the mirror decides most of it. Dull, dehydrated, crepey skin points towards HB+ alone. Enlarged-looking pores, oiliness and fine surface lines on top of that are where adding neuromodulator can be discussed.
At WELLS, a dermatologist consults and treats directly, so the person reading your skin is the person holding the syringe. In general dermatology, the decision tends to rest on a few things:
- Where the problem sits. Texture and dryness are a dermal story; oil and pore appearance are partly a surface one.
- What else is going on. Active acne, a rosacea flare or an eczema patch in the treatment area usually comes first, and a booster can wait.
- Pigment. Melasma or sun spots are not what Rejuran is for. They are a separate conversation, often about lasers such as the toning options we explain here.
- Your history with neuromodulator. If you already have regular neuromodulator injections for frown lines or the jaw, total dose and timing matter before adding more in the skin.
If you are leaning towards Tox, you can tell us your neuromodulator preference on WhatsApp along with your dates.

Send your travel dates on WhatsAppCan you finish a Rejuran course in one trip to Korea?
Four sessions, two to three weeks apart, is the recommended course on our Rejuran HB+ treatment page. That adds up to roughly six to nine weeks, longer than many trips.
Polynucleotides are generally described as working gradually over repeated treatments, so one session is usually a starting point rather than the whole plan. The gap between sessions is what trips to Seoul tend to run into. You can do one session per trip, two trips spaced to match the interval, or a single session here followed by the rest with a dermatologist at home. If you can only come once, I would rather tell you that plainly at the consultation than squeeze sessions closer together.
The "cc" on a menu is cubic centimeters, the same as milliliters: the amount of product injected. For Rejuran Tox, "3 cc + 3 cc" means 3 cc of HB+ plus 3 cc of neuromodulator.
What does it feel like, and how long do the bumps last?
Most people describe a series of small pricks. In Rejuran HB+, lidocaine, a local anesthetic, is already mixed into the product.
On the VAS, a 0-to-10 line for rating pain, the comparison cited on our Rejuran HB+ treatment page found post-injection pain 53% lower on average than with Rejuran Healer. That is an average from a comparison, not a promise about your own face, and sensitivity varies between people and between areas.
Each injection point leaves a small raised bump, because the product sits as tiny deposits in the dermis. These usually flatten within a day or two, though for some people slight bumps, redness or a small bruise can take several days to fade. That is why I suggest keeping a spare day before photographs, meetings or a flight.
We don't use unnecessary sleep anesthesia. We use Air NOX, a non-sleep sedation system with oxygen and nitrous oxide. Whether any sedation makes sense for a skin booster is something we decide together at the consultation. We also do a 3D analysis before treatment, and I go through what it shows for your skin at that visit.

The common effects are local and usually temporary: redness, swelling, the injection bumps described above, and occasional bruising. Less often, lumps can last longer than expected. Like any injection, infection and allergic reaction are possible, though uncommon.
The evidence base is still developing. A systematic review of polynucleotides in esthetic medicine in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology gathered the published studies, and many of them are small, with different products and protocols, so dramatic claims deserve caution. A 2026 real-life assessment in the same journal adds clinic-based data, again on a limited group.
Postponing is usually the sensible choice if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- have an active skin infection, cold sore or acne flare in the area;
- have a known allergy to fish-derived products or lidocaine;
- take blood thinners and have not discussed bruising risk with your own doctor;
- have a neuromuscular condition, if the neuromodulator component is being considered.
Results vary between people, and the in-person examination decides whether a Rejuran injection in Korea is suitable for you at all.
Where the clinic is, and when it is open
WELLS has one location, in Apgujeong in Gangnam: 8F Apgujeong B/D, 842 Nonhyeon-ro, a five-minute walk from Exit 3 of Apgujeong Station on Line 3. The clinic opened in 2008.
Hours are Monday to Friday 10:00–20:00 and Saturday 10:00–17:00, with lunch from 13:00 to 14:00; Sundays and public holidays are closed. A Saturday afternoon arrival therefore leaves no clinic day until Monday. On a short trip, put the visit on a weekday with a spare day before your flight, for the bumps and redness described above.

Send the dates you are considering on WhatsApp, plus your neuromodulator preference if Rejuran Tox is on your list. The dermatologist will advise on timing, so you can see how the session and that spare day fit before you book flights. Directions and the full treatment menu are on the WELLS Clinic home page.

Is Rejuran a Korean product?
Yes. Rejuran is a Korean polynucleotide skin booster, which is one reason so many people search for it alongside Seoul trips. The same family of ingredients also appears in Korean skincare as PDRN, but a cream and an injection into the dermis are different things.
Does a Rejuran injection hurt?
Most people feel a series of small pricks. Rejuran HB+ contains lidocaine, and in the comparison cited on our treatment page, pain on the VAS scale was on average 53% lower than with Rejuran Healer. Sensitivity still varies from person to person.
How many Rejuran sessions do I need?
For Rejuran HB+, four sessions two to three weeks apart is the recommended course. Travellers often start with one session in Seoul and plan the rest around later trips or with a dermatologist at home; the plan is set at consultation.
How soon can I fly home after Rejuran in Seoul?
Send your flight dates on WhatsApp and the dermatologist will advise on timing. Injection bumps and redness are the main reason to leave a spare day between treatment and your flight.
What is the difference between Rejuran HB+ and Rejuran Tox?
Rejuran HB+ is polynucleotide with hyaluronic acid and lidocaine. Rejuran Tox combines 3 cc of HB+ with 3 cc of micro-dosed neuromodulator in one session, aimed at pores, oiliness and fine surface lines as well as texture.
Results and recovery vary by individual. Every treatment carries possible side effects, which are explained at the consultation. Prices are in Korean won, excluding 10% VAT, and confirmed at your consultation. This article is general information from the clinic, not a diagnosis.
